Sono dieci gli slalom portati a termine nelle acque di Sotavento, soltanto pochi di questi però sono stati effettuati nelle condizioni tipiche di questa zona: vento forte e chop insidioso hanno infatti insidiato gli atleti soltanto nei giorni precedenti la competizione. Le vele sopra la 7,0 e le tavole sui 110 litri (o più) sono state infatti le protagoniste indiscusse quest’anno.
