May 2010. The PWA is upon us. A plane waiting to take us somewhere in Korea. In these moments I wonder what the organizers aid in choosing the spot. Excess alcohol during exuberant evenings with friends? Or the need to spread evil in the world? This ball made of water we call Earth ironically is literally chock-full of places suitable for the practice of our sport. Looking at the calendar pwa some doubt on the psychological coherence of the human race is to have it ... It begins at Ulsan in Korea: a forgotten place also by the inhabitants themselves. The sea is the backdrop to the barges and oil refineries. You end up in Germany to Sylt: the place less suitable for navigating the cosmos, the fake Teutonic island where the only water sport is allowed to drown in a glass of beer. I will begin with cats (they cook in Korea by pretending to be rabbits) and I'll end with Bratwurst ... I do not know what is worse. I just hope that my cholesterol is not affected too much.
